The fact that progressives consistently make false accusations of racism when conservatives criticize the President has rendered the charge of racism meaningless and a joke. That is unfortunate for the times when racism actually occurs.

King Obama's Power Trip: ILLEGAL Non-Recess Appointments
From Big Peace: In an editorial both Edwin Meese, the former U.S. Attorney General under President Ronald Reagan, and Todd Gaziano, Director of the Heritage Foundation’s Center for Legal and Judicial Studies, stated that President Obama's unilateral appointment of three individuals to the NLRB and Richard Cordray to head the new Consumer Financial Protection Bureau while the Senate was NOT in recess is a “breathtaking violation of the separation of powers and the duty of comity that the executive owes to Congress.”
The authors asserted:
…never before has a president purported to make a “recess” appointment when the Senate is demonstrably not in recess. That is a constitutional abuse of a high order.
The beauty of this editorial is that Mr. Meese and Mr. Gaziano provide instruction to handle this rogue president who continues to thumb his nose at the Constitution. They continue:
President Obama’s flagrant violation of the Constitution not only will damage relations with Congress for years to come but will ultimately weaken the office of the presidency. There eventually may be litigation over the illegal appointments, but it will be a failure of government if the political branches do not resolve this injustice before a court rules…Congressional leaders of both parties must vigorously (though thoughtfully) defend their prerogatives. Senators could filibuster all presidential nominations, as Sen. Robert C. Byrd did in 1985 over a lesser recess appointment issue, until Obama rescinds these wrongful appointments. The House or Senate could condition all “must-pass” legislation for the remainder of 2012 on an agreement to rescind these appointments. The House also could require the attorney general to produce legal justification and testify at oversight hearings.
The authors conclude:
If Congress does not resist, the injury is not just to its branch but ultimately to the people.
Of course as long as Nancy Pelosi gets to advance her agenda, gets her way, she is totally fine with the President abusing his power - the Democrat President.
The Daily Caller points out that in an outrageous move, even more so than his appointment of Richard Cordray to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, the President appointed two union lawyers to the NLRB even though the GOP never obstructed his nominees and weren't even given the chance to vet the normal paperwork or do background checks. These appointments are most certainly unconstitutional since Congress wasn't in recess.
Craig Becker, a radical union leader wrote that “Employers should be stripped of any legally cognizable interest in their employees’ election of representatives.” Unfortunately for Obama's pro-union radical agenda, Becker's term expired at the end of 2011. When Congress refused to go to recess so that they could block equally radical outrageous appointments Obama decided to go under the radar while people were fired up over his controversial appointment of Cordray and appoint two union lawyers to the NLRB.
Here is some information on the two new NLRB appointees from The Daily Caller:
The little we know about Block and Griffin is not encouraging. Block was a longtime staffer for Senator Ted Kennedy, and is almost certainly a lockstep vote for the Becker agenda of upending employer rights.
Griffin has the dubious distinction of being the second board member ever (Becker was first) to join the NLRB directly from a labor union. In Griffin’s case, it’s the International Union of Operating Engineers (IUOE), where he was general counsel.
The IUOE is an especially autocratic union that has been criticized by union activists for imposing strict Internet censorship on union members who have the temerity to run against current union leadership. Griffin justified the gag rule as necessary to protect the “union’s sensitive and/or confidential internal workings.” Griffin even tried to impose fines on his own union workers for challenging the gag rule in court.
In 1998 testimony to a House committee, Griffin argued for more expansive NLRB powers to order fines and other remedies, for allowing the board to enforce its decisions without a court order and for allowing unions to organize at single locations. Most significantly, in that testimony Griffin was asked directly whether unions and employers both engage in illegal conduct. He said: “The vast majority of illegal conduct is committed by employers, and therefore the vast majority of charges are addressed to employer conduct.”
Congress needs to pass a joint resolution of disapproval under the Congressional Review Act to send a message to Obama to stop ignoring the Constitution, bypassing the Constitution, to stop abusing his power and reverse his appointments.

Thank You Rick Santorum: If It Wasn't for Your Support of Specter We (most likely) Wouldn't Have Either Alito or Roberts on Supreme Court
Senator Arlen Specter was the Chairman of the Judiciary Committee when Rick Santorum was in the senate. Being the sneaky opportunistic little devil that Specter was he pretty much blackmailed Santorum, saying if you support my reelection bid I will support whichever Supreme Court nominees that Pres. Bush picks. The fact that Specter was the Chairman of the Judiciary Committee meant that he had a lot of power over who was going to make it out of the committee. So, yes, Santorum supported Specter over Toomey. Santorum knew that his decision to do so would be a greater benefit in the long run to both conservatism and the pro-life movement. Now, we have Justices Samuel Alito and John Roberts, two conservative strict constructionists that will be on the Supreme Court for a very long time which will benefit us for years to come. What if Santorum had said no to Specter and there were two moderate wishy-washy types sitting on the bench today where would that leave us with Obamacare and other important controversial issues brought before the Supreme Court? So, I send a big thank you to Rick Santorum for supporting the greater good. Pennsylvania conservatives should be thanking Santorum for this, not chastising him and railing against him because of what you perceive as a mistake, a blemish on his conservative, pro-life credentials. His conservative, pro-life credentials are very much in tact. He supported Specter in exchange for two pro-life justices who are now sitting on the Supreme Court. He made a good deal. Santorum made the best decision he could have at that time. He turned a lemon into lemonade IMO because now we have two lifetime appointed, pro-life, strict constructionist justices on the Supreme Court.
Glenn Beck on Ron Paul: Soros Connection? 9/11 Truther?
Apparently Barney Frank and Ron Paul partnered in a project called the Sustainable Defense Task Force in which the main purpose was to reduce defense spending by around $1Trillion over the next ten years. I am in favor of making some cuts to the defense budget but these type of deep cuts are irresponsible and will be detrimental to the safety of the U.S. Anything that says "sustainable" or has that in its title I am quite leery of. That usually means that the group follows progressive principles which seeks to undermine the Constitution and all that makes the United States good as a nation.
There is a difference between cutting and gutting the defense budget. Plus, the cuts that Ron Paul, Barney Frank, Soros & Co proposed is not limited to the reduction of the number of bases and/or military personnel overseas but rather it guts very important parts of defense that our integral to our national security.
Here is a list of the the individuals on the Task Force.
I agree with Beck's assessment of Ron Paul.

- Benjamin H Friedman, Cato Institute -
- William D Hartung, New America Foundation - Connected to George Soros
- Christopher Hellman, National Priorities Project - Connected to Soros
- Heather Hurlburt, National Security Network - Connected to George Soros
- Charles Knight, Project on Defense Alternatives - Connected to Soros
- Lawrence J Korb, Center for American Progress - Connected to Soros
- Paul Kawika Martin, Peace Action - Connected to George Soros
- Laicie Olson, Center for Arms Control and Non-Proliferation - Connected to Soros
- Prasannan Parthasarathi, Boston College
- Miriam Pemberton, Institute for Policy Studies
- Laura Peterson, Taxpayers for Common Sense
- Christopher Preble, Cato Institute
- Winslow Wheeler, Center for Defense Information - Connected to George Soros
Front Page Mag provides more insight into those who have Soros connections.
The panel of experts who would decide how to best gut national defense featured such independent thinkers as William D. Hartung of the New America Foundation. Hartung’s main expertise was appearing in “Hijacking Catastrophe: 9/11, Fear & the Selling of American Empire.”Then there was Lawrence J. Kolb of the Center for American Progress and Miriam Pemberton of the Institute for Policy Studies. If you want to know what the Center, the Foundation and the Institute all have in common, it’s Hungarian and smells like stale cabbage and the death of nations. The rather creepy Institute for Policy Studies issued a paper proposing that Obama act as king and rule through executive orders. The New American Foundation is not only backed by Soros but has his son on its leadership council. The Center for American Progress is run by the co-chair of Obama’s transition team and is, for all intents and purposes, the think tank of the White House. All three are Soros funded.
But it doesn’t end there. Also on the panel was Christopher Hellman of the National Priorities Project (NPP). If you are wondering what the NPP is, it’s a think tank whose objective is to “influence national spending priorities.” And if you’re in the mood for a double, Miriam Pemberton is also on the board of the NPP. The man behind the curtain at NPP? None other than our favorite Hungarian James Bond villain.
Going further down the list there’s Winslow Wheeler of the Center for Defense Information (CDI). The CDI’s goal is to strengthen “national and international security through international cooperation [and] reduced reliance on unilateral military power to resolve conflict.” CDI operates under the aegis of the World Security Institute, which is apparently the least creepy name they could think of. Wheeler is a Counterpunch contributor, a site which even Stalinists think goes a bit too far. CDI gets money from the Open Society Institute (OSI) where the stench of death and stale cabbage never goes away. You can see additional information here. Did you see that 9 out of the 14 members on the Task Force are connected to George Soros? I find that deeply troubling. I find that troubling on so many levels, especially since Ron Paul claims to be "principled". If he is so principled why did he allow so many people (or any) with connections to George Soros to sit on his Sustainable Defense Task Force?
From FrontPage Mag: "The task force’s proposals included cutting nuclear deterrence; reducing the fleet by 57 ships, including two carriers; canceling the Joint Strike Fighter; “severely curtail missile defense” — and that is a direct quote from the report — retiring four Marine battalions; reducing the military by 200,000 personnel; cutting defense research spending by 50 billion over ten years; and increasing health care fees for members of the military."

EAGLE FREEDOM LINKS -- Piano Rock Edition - 1-3-2012
Now we have entered into the new year, 2012. I would like to wish all blessings, good health, and prosperity in the New Year. Does America seem alien to you? Like we have departed into another realm, far from how our Founding Fathers envisioned America would be? It may seem this way but God will always be with us and watching over us, especially in our times of need and in the tumultuous times we are living in today. God will guide us as we go through the peaks and valleys of life this year. As we all vie for our particular presidential candidates whom we support we must remember what our end goal is - to make Barack Obama a one term president. After the primaries end and our GOP nominee is chosen we all need to rally around the person and give him/her the support that will be needed due to all that misinformation being spread by the MSM. Our country is "lost in space" and this year we must bring our country back from the brink of economic disaster, fight against the tyranny that Obama & Co. throws at us, stand up for liberty, and return a sense of morality to our society.

Rick Santorum Schools NBC's David Gregory on Obama's Appeasement
Santorum truly crushes David Gregory in this exchange. David Gregory is totally clueless to reality if he thinks that any person who looks at Obama's policies objectively wouldn't think that Obama's policies have included appeasement of our enemies. Gregory and his ilk must be living in some type of alternate reality - its called insanity.

Rick Santorum Surges in Iowa
I am pleased to announce that Rick Santorum has broken from the back of the pack, is surging ahead and now is virtually in second place (if you add the polls in the last two days) in the Des Moines Register Iowa Poll. His message is resonating with people. We need someone as President who understands that both the family and economics are connected. We need someone with a strong foreign policy background. We need a person who has a record of getting things done in Congress. Rick Santorum is all this rolled into one individual. He is just the man we need to be President of the United States. I just hope his momentum continues.
In the recent weeks, Santorum has picked up two endorsements - one from Sam Clovis who is a Sioux City talk-show host and the other is from the bestselling thriller author Brad Thor. This is the first time Clovis has endorsed a candidate in the caucuses.
From abc News:
He said he’s supporting Santorum because he is an “ideal candidate” who believes in “a constitutionally limited government, fiscal responsibility, strong national defense and unflagging devotion to life and traditional marriage.” Thor said in a statement that Santorum is the “one presidential candidate who understands and can swiftly address the threats facing our nation.”
“Rick knows that the world would be forever changed by Iran getting a nuclear weapon, and he has sworn to keep this from happening. I am excited to add my endorsement to the growing list of prominent supporters who understand that Rick Santorum is the right man, at the right time to lead our nation,” Thor said.
Santorum has also received the backing recently of the state’s secretary of state, Matt Schultz, and several high-profile Iowa pastors.
More great news for Santorum - Iowa's evangelicals moving to Santorum.
The Wombat-socho at The Other McCain has listed some great links on the Santorum, Ron Paul, Iowa, and other great stuff.
