Abortion: Who? What? Where? When? Why? How?

First, I would like to thank Opie from American Perspective for sending this video my way.  She is an awesome blogger who stands up for conservative principles and has been a great long distance friend to me. May God Bless all that she does.  Please do visit her wonderful blog American Perspective.

Second, this video has facts and figures about abortion.  It also shows direct video footage of a human embryo and shows you exactly who abortion kills.

WARNING: A small portion of this video presentation graphically depicts what abortion actually does to the most helpless members of the human community. Viewer discretion is advised.

Video Text/Dialogue:

An Overview of Abortion in 5 Minutes
Who? What? Where? When? Why? How?
WHAT?
Abortion is the termination of a pregnancy [through] the death of the embryo or fetus; especially: the medical procedure of [killing and expelling] a human fetus to terminate a pregnancy. (Webster's Medical Dictionary)
WHO?
This is direct video footage of a human embryo, less than 7 weeks from fertilization.
And this is video footage of a human fetus just 9 weeks after fertilization.
This static 3-D model depicts a human fetus in the womb, 24 weeks after fertilization.
HOW?
Most abortions are performed surgically by vacuuming the embryo or fetus out of the uterus.
This is a medical illustration of a 9-week, suction abortion.
Later term procedures, use surgical instruments to manually dismember the fetus.
This is a medical illustration of a 23-week, D&E abortion.
Medical abortions, like RU486, are a two-step procedure.
One drug compromises the uterus so that the embryo starves and dies.
The second drug initiates uterine contractions to expel the dead body.
WHO?
At current rates, it's estimated that 33% of American women will have an abortion by age 45.
That's 1 in every 3.
18% are teenagers. 58% are in their 20's.
85% are unmarried.
Statistically, black children are aborted at 5 times the rate of white.
WHERE?
Worldwide, an estimated 115,000 unborn human beings are killed every day by abortion.
42 million a year.
That's the holocaust x7.
The Haiti earthquake, x168.
The daily death toll matches 9/11, x 30.
And matches Katrina, x. 62. Every day.
The highest abortion rate in the world belongs to Russia.
4.3 abortions for every live birth.
More abortions occur in China than anywhere else on the globe. 13 million a year.
In the United States, roughly 1.21 million abortions take place every year.
Almost 1 in every 4 abortions happens in California.
In New York City, there are 700 abortions for every 1,000 live births.
WHEN?
In practice, abortion is legal through all nine months of pregnancy, in all 50 of the United States.
ALMOST 90% of abortions are performed during the first trimester.
About 150,000 late-term abortions occur each year in the United States.
WHY?
The most common reasons cited for having an abortion are as follows:
The timing is wrong for having a child: 25%
Can't afford a baby: 23%
Don't want any more kids: 19%
Too immature to raise a child: 7%
Maternal Health Concerns: 4%
Possible Fetal Health Problems: 3%
Was a victim of rape <0.5%

By Planned Parenthood's own admission, 93% of of all abortions are performed on healthy mothers, with healthy babies.
Less than 1% are performed because of rape or incest.
WHY IS ABORTION UNJUST?
Because it kills an innocent human being.
This is what it looks like when an 8-week embryo is killed by abortion.
This is what it does to an 11-week fetus.
And this is the aftermath of a 24-week abortion.
Now is the time to decide for yourself. Is abortion a good and necessary practice? Or is it just a convenient mechanism for eliminating the weak and defenseless who get in our way?
History awaits your verdict.
